As we begin this year’s Islamic calendar month of Muharram, 1444 years after the Hijrah (migration) of the Prophet (pbuh) with his beloved companions. Its mentioned in authentic narrations that the prophet Muhammad PBUH expressed the hope that Allah SWT would make fasting on the day of Ashura an expiation for the previous years sins. The day of Ashura (10th Muharram) will fall on Monday 8th August and it is recommended to fast on 10th combining it with either 9th or 11th.

Masjid Alhikmah will provide a full iftar for brothers and sister on 8th August join us after Maghrib salah 2110 (9.10 pm).
